Our Services

As dedicated psychotherapists, we utilize eclectic psychotherapeutic methods and modalities that are custom fit to each individual client and group. We offer a full range of mental health services in English and Spanish throughout Southern California.

We work closely with attorneys and their staff by offering support and collaboration on legal matters that require mental health expertise, and conduct Independent Mental Health Exams (IME), testify in deposition and court-room trials, and provide litigation consulting as non-testifying experts on issues related to immigration, personal injury, and criminal law.

The diagnostic information in our written reports can provide your cases with psychological evidence to support an immigration applicant’s claims, the psychological effects of personal injuries (resulting from crimes, accidents, and/or workplace harassment), and reasons that may lead to criminal behavior in individual clients.

The following types of Mental Heath Evaluations are offered:

  • Hardship Evaluations (Hardship Immigration Petitions)

  • Asylum and Withholding of Removal Evaluations

  • VAWA Evaluations (Violence Against Women Act Immigration Petitions)

  • Substance Abuse and DUI Evaluations for Immigration

  • Criminal Offense / Risk of Recidivism Evaluations for Immigration

  • Psychological Evaluations for Immigration

  • U-Visa Immigration Evaluations

  • Evaluations of Competency to Stand Trial (as propounded in Dusky v. United States [1960] and consistently affirmed in subsequent Supreme Court decisions)

  • Removal defense for immigrants that have been found incompetent to represent themselves due to a psycho-social disability (“Franco class members”)

  • Workplace Discrimination and Harassment Evaluations

  • Long-Term or Permanent Disability Evaluations

Initial evaluations are usually conducted in the client’s home, with remote follow-up sessions via Skype or FaceTime to allow greater flexibility for a working client’s schedule – especially for those who must arrange for childcare, (and incur its associated financial and time costs). If needed, Mental Health Evaluations may also be conducted at detention centers or correctional facilities.

Fees are within standard industry range and initial appointments are usually set up within one week of the first call. Should clients require expedited services, they can be accommodated.
